My Screens (Portfolios):

 

  • You can select anyone of the available 10 MyScreens to customize.
  • On My Screen, you can Add, Delete and format the view.
  • Instruments from FX Spot Major/Minor Currencies, Asian Indices, and Global Market Overview & CBOT/CME can be added to the screens.
  • You can rename the My Screens.
  • You can perform the following for the selected instrument (pointed by the current cursor position):
  • Set Alerts on a particular instrument directly from this screen on a price threshold.
  • View intraday, daily, weekly and monthly charts (Line and Candlestick chart) on price or volume.
  • View the detailed information of any particular instrument using Full Quote option.
  • You can choose any of the fields from the following options:
  • Bid, Offer, Last traded, Change, Volume Traded, Bid Quantity, Offer Quantity, Open, High, Low, Last Size and Percentage Change.

News:

  • Access the News Headlines and News Stories from Dow Jones News wire.
  • Provision to access Previous/Next 10 News headlines.

 2.0. Getting connected to the GPRS Network

  • Connection Status on Mobile Phone:
    • G symbol with a crossed line indicates that GPRS connection is not available.
    • G with a box indicates that GPRS connection is active.
    • A funnel shape instead of G shows that GPRS cannot be accessed.
    • To make GPRS available, please switch off the phone and then switch it on. If GPRS connection is still not available, please contact your telecom operator.
  • Connection Issues:
    • Lifts / Basements: Due to weak signal strength, the connection may be interrupted in lifts, basements, etc.
    • Voice calls / SMS: When you receive or make voice calls / SMS, then GPRS connection is temporarily disconnected.
    • During these times, the box around the symbol will disappear and the G symbol will remain crossed. If the interruption is for longer than 30 minutes, the Mobistream© server will automatically disconnect the session and the service will stop.
    • Whenever GPRS connection interrupts temporarily, it may take few minutes to restore depending on various parameters of the instrument and network. At these times, you may find that data is not updated on the screen.
    • As long as the server session is not interrupted, the application will seamlessly reconnect.
    • Known issue in (Java Enabled Mobile Device) Nokia 6600: In case you are unable to connect to GPRS network, please switch off your phone and switch it on again.

Configuring GPRS Connection on Phone

  • Define “Access Point”:
    • Go to Menu > Tools > Settings > Connection > Access Point:
  • Select Access Point: Click Options on left soft key > new access point>

use default settings.

  • Settings for SingTel /M1 /Starhub are given in Annexure 1.
  • Define GPRS settings (For Nokia 6600):
    • Go to Menu > Tools > Settings > Connection > GPRS
    • Select GPRS connection to when available
    • When you want to connect to the server for an unlimited time, you need to make the following settings:
      • Go to Menu > Tools > Settings > Connection > Data call
      • Set online time to Unlimited

3.0 Using Mobistream Service:

Starting the Application

  • Locate Mobistream icon in the Menu of your Mobile Phone and Click the icon to open the application. On clicking, Mobistream Login screen will appear.
  • Type Username, Password, Server IP (Default value will be displayed) and Server Port number (Default value will be displayed), then click the Submit command (available under Options Menu in some of the devices).
  • Application will request you to select whether to use the network for sending and receiving data. Select Yes to proceed to the next step.
  • Application will request you to select the Access-point. Select the Access-point (current network operator) from the list displayed.
  • After successful connection with the server, Application will proceed to the main screen/default screen of the Mobistream application from where you can gain access to all the available features.
  • Clicking Menu (available through Right Soft Key in most of the devices) will list all the available features (Scroll down to see all).

    • FX Forwards and Crosses

Features

FX Spot Majors and Minors Screens:

  • Forex are available to you in two different screens (FX Spot Majors, FX Spot Minors).
  • Forex screens will provide live information of one or more of the fields depending on the exchange:
    • Bid, Offer, Last traded, Change, Volume Traded, Bid Quantity, Offer Quantity, Open, High, Low, Last Size and Percentage Change for all the Currency Instruments.
  • You can perform the following for the selected instrument (pointed by the current cursor position):
    • Set Alerts on a particular instrument directly from this screen on a price threshold (set the alert for the instrument by clicking options).
    • View intraday, daily, weekly and monthly charts (Line and Candlestick chart) on price or volume.

FX Forwards Screen:

  • FX Forward screens will provide live information of one or more of the fields depending on the exchange:
    • Bid, Offer, Last traded, Change, Volume Traded, Bid Quantity, Offer Quantity, Open, High, Low, Last Size and Percentage Change.
  • You can perform the following for the selected instrument (pointed by the current cursor position):
    • Set Alerts on a particular instrument directly from this screen on a price threshold (set the alert for the instrument by clicking options).
    • View intraday, daily, weekly and monthly charts (Line and Candlestick chart) on price or volume.

FX Crosses Screens:

  • l You can select anyone of the available 7 Crosses in the FX Crosses screen (Ex: EUR, JPY, SGD, CHF, NZD, GBP, AUD).
  • l FX Crosses screens will provide live information of one or more of the fields depending on the exchange:
    • Bid, Offer, Last traded, Change, Volume Traded, Bid Quantity, Offer Quantity, Open, High, Low, Last Size and Percentage Change for all the Currency Instruments.
  • You can perform the following for the selected instrument (pointed by the current cursor position):
    • Set Alerts on a particular instrument directly from this screen on a price threshold (set the alert for the instrument by clicking options).
    • View intraday, daily, weekly and monthly charts (Line and Candlestick chart) on price or volume.

World Indices Screen:

Global Market Overview & Asian Indices Screens:

  • Global market overview & Asian Indices provides summary of the world markets.

  • The screens will provide live information of any of the fields from the following options:
  • Bid, Offer, Last traded, Change, Volume Traded, Bid Quantity, Offer Quantity, Open, High, Low, Last Size and Percentage Change for all the Currency Instruments.

  • You can perform the following for the selected instrument (pointed by the current cursor position):
  •  Set Alerts on a particular instrument directly from this screen on a price threshold (set the alert for the instrument by clicking options).

  • View intraday, daily, weekly and monthly charts (Line and Candlestick chart) on price or volume.

  • View the detailed information of any particular instrument using Full Quote option.

    

 

Benchmark Bonds Screen:

  • Benchmark Bonds screen will provide live information of one or more of the fields depending on the exchange:
    • Bid, Offer, Last traded, Change, Volume Traded, Bid Quantity, Offer Quantity, Open, High, Low, Last Size and Percentage Change.
  • You can perform the following for the selected instrument (pointed by the current cursor position):
    • Set Alerts on a particular instrument directly from this screen on a price threshold (set the alert for the instrument by clicking options).
    • View intraday, daily, weekly and monthly charts (Line and Candlestick chart) on price or volume.

Deposit rates and Interest rate swaps Screen:

  • Deposit rates and Interest rate swaps screen will provide live information of one or more of the fields depending on the exchange:
    • Bid, Offer, Last traded, Change, Volume Traded, Bid Quantity, Offer Quantity, Open, High, Low, Last Size and Percentage Change. User can choose any field of their interest.
  • You can perform the following for the selected instrument (pointed by the current cursor position):
    • Set Alerts on a particular instrument directly from this screen on a price threshold (set the alert for the instrument by clicking options).
    • View intraday, daily, weekly and monthly charts (Line and Candlestick chart) on price or volume.

CBOT and CME Screen:

  • CBOT and CME screens will provide live information of one or more of the fields depending on the exchange:
    • Bid, Offer, Last traded, Change, Volume Traded, Bid Quantity, Offer Quantity, Open, High, Low, Last Size and Percentage Change. User can choose any field of their interest.
  • You can perform the following for the selected instrument (pointed by the current cursor position):
    • Set Alerts on a particular instrument directly from this screen on a price threshold (set the alert for the instrument by clicking options).
    • View intraday, daily, weekly and monthly charts (Line and Candlestick chart) on price or volume.
    • View the detailed information of any particular instrument using Full Quote option.

 

Latest News:

  • News screen will provide the latest 10 News items to the user.
  • Selecting a particular News headline, will display the complete News Headline with news generation time.
  • Selecting “View Details” from the Options menu will fetch the detailed News/Story corresponding to that headline.
  • Selecting Next/Previous from the Options menu will retrieve Next 10/ Previous 10 News.

                                        

                                        

 

Alerts:

  • You can set Alerts on any of the FX Spot Majors / Minors / Forwards / Crosses / CBOT and CME.
  • You can search a symbol from the complete list available in the database by selecting the Lookup option from the menu.
  • You can view the pending alerts in the Pending alerts screen.
  • You can cancel the alerts from the Pending alerts screen.
  • You can view the triggered alerts in the Triggered alerts screen.
  • Triggered alerts are automatically deleted by the system at end of day.
  • System displays the alert message, when the defined alert condition has occurred.
  • Alert indication happens only when Mobistream application is active.
  • Provision to receive alert message through SMS alerts is also available.

Note:

  • Alerts set are triggered automatically based on the Bid price.
  • Alerts set will be valid only till close of market hours on Friday.

My Screens (Portfolios):

  • You can select anyone of the available 10 MyScreens to customize.
  • On My Screen, you can Add, Delete and format the view.
  • Instruments from FX Spot Major/Minor Currencies, World Indices & CBOT/CME can be added to the screens.
  • You can rename the My Screens.
  • You can perform the following for the selected instrument (pointed by the current cursor position):
    • Set Alerts on a particular instrument directly from this screen on a price threshold (set the alert for the instrument by clicking options).
    • View intraday, daily, weekly and monthly charts (Line and Candlestick chart) on price or volume.
    • View the detailed information of any particular instrument using Full Quote option.
  • You can choose any of the fields from the following options:
    • Bid, Offer, Last traded, Change, Volume Traded, Bid Quantity, Offer Quantity, Open, High, Low, Last Size and Percentage Change.

Following are the instructions to configure MyScreens/Portfolios:

  • You can select a MyScreen option from the Menu to display the list of all available customizable screens.

  • Select a particular screen from the list; this displays a blank page (For the first time)

Add Row Option:

  • Select the Options Menu to list the available features of MyScreen


  • Select an Add row option to list the available Markets


  • Select a Market from the list.
  • You can enter the symbol name and add the instrument directly or a symbol search can be done from the list available in the database.
  • You need to enter a minimum of 3 characters to do a lookup search.
  • Select an instrument from the list and click Add from Options.
  • Selected instrument will be displayed on the screen
  • You can directly add an instrument to the screen without lookup through the following steps:
  • To delete a row, select the scrip, go to Options Menu and select Delete Row.

Change Column Option

  • You can change the available columns by selecting the Change Column from the Options Menu .
  • You can select the required fields from available options and select Change from the Options Menu to result in a Column Change (As Shown below).

View Chart Option

  • You can view chart for the instrument listed.
  • To View Chart, select the instrument, go to Options menu and select View Chart (As shown below).
  • You can view intra-day, daily, weekly and monthly charts (Line and Candlestick chart) on Volume and Price.

Full Quote:

  • To view the detailed information about any stock, select the instrument, go to Options Menu and select Full Quote.

Settings:

  • Set Default Screen: You can configure a default screen that is to be displayed as the first screen after you successfully login.


General Options:

  • Menu Option displays a list of screens.
  • Back Option will take to the previous screen.
  • Home Option will take to the Home page.
  • Cancel Option will cancel the current process.
  • Exit Option will quit the application in all the screens.
